Home from Vegas, let the recaps begin…

Well, I got home nice and late last night and the kids had me up plenty early. I had a great time in Vegas, my best trip there yet, but it is always nice to get home and be woken up by my boys. It is also great to see the lovely and understanding drewsmum of course.

I will put together a series of posts over the course of the next couple days about my Caesars tourney, Binions tourney, Casino Games, and other random topics from my trip. For the record though, I came home with roughly double the money I brought with me. I had the cash in the Caesars tourney to start me off, but after that, I got hella lucky at 3 Card Poker and Craps. My craps wins were incredible. I got lucky at the right times for sure. I ended up paying cash for me and my buddies room after hitting a $5 inside number on roulette on a whim on the last morning. My sons had given me numbers to play. I put up $5 on 2 numbers for 2 rolls and hit the second number for $175. This was after all the luck I had at craps and 3 card poker. I had the proverbial golden horseshoe up my ass, as my buddy said, and it felt real good.

It was also great meeting up with Don and Carmen, as I said in my mobile posts multiple times. It is funny how you feel like you know someone a little just by reading their blogs. They were both very cool, friendly and down to earth peeps. Don was nice enough to pick me up in his smooth ride for the Binions tourney and we headed down a little early so I could check out downtown a little bit. We had lunch before the tourney and felt almost like we were old friends. Just very comfortable and I was really glad that he cashed. It was fun to watch.

I also enjoyed multiple dial-a-shots after my long day at Caesars. I hooked up with Mookie, Kat, and got a call from Garth too. I was sorry that I missed out on a hook up with Jules, Dave, and Guin. After that second night, it was kind of a blur. Guin had sent his number but I didn’t get it in email until after that night and wasn’t sure if I should call at another time. Same with Jules in that the time change was tough to track between Vegas and Australia. Every time I would think of it, the time didn’t seem right. With Dave, I didn’t get his number from the IM he sent me before I left unfortunately. I promise to hook up with each of the 3 of you at a later date for a shot. Maybe during the Mookie on of these weeks?
