Mahjong

Ever played mahjong?

I've been playing it a bit recently with some mates and it's pretty fun. It's a nice change of pace from poker but I'm still very much a beginner at it as I'm still learning the rules :p I'm yet to try the mahjong solitare yet although I think that's an entirely different game.

Next thing on the "to buy" list for me is definitely a mahjong table. Hopefully they're not too expensive though. I'm guessing they might be considering the tiles are solid pieces that look really nice.

Wow, time does fly!

Hello World.

Geez, I haven't been here forever. It could use a fresh coat of paint. Seriously though, can you believe how fast time goes by? I hope everyone is fairing ok during our economic breakdown. I have been busy as usual with the kids, wife and work. We are well into baseball season and getting ready for summer 8U all stars. I am coaching and we are playing in 3 tournaments during July. We get a done a whole week before football season starts. Yeehaw, vacation!

I am hoping everyone is happy these days. I haven't been able to keep up as well as I would like. Times sure change. Don is in Florida, Carmen is bummin out, and that is about all I know. The last time I was in Vegas, we had a nice dinner out and I am looking forward to my next visit. Unfortunately Don won't be there, but hopefully I can meet up with the lovely Carmen. Carmen, thanks for that tag a couple months back. I was too embarrassed to post until now, but I appreciate the kind words.

So I have a trip to Vegas planned for the end of August! Just enough time for some card and some sports betting! I haven't had time to play any free online poker lately, but I did make a quick deposit to Bodog last week so I could get a little action in at the video poker. Didn't fare as well as I did in Vegas, so I am looking forward to the real thing. I am sure it will be here before I know it.

Well, best of luck and wish you health and happiness out there!

Wow, it's been a long time. Hardly any poker in my life these days. I did get out to Vegas in September, but other than that, unfortunately, I have been relatively gamble free for too long!

Football season was a lot of fun this year. I was an assistant coach to the little guys at the 7-9 year old level. It was fun to watch my 7 year old start off real tentative and then get more and more into the action as the season went on. I am going to be taking the team next year and trying to figure out if he might be quarterback material or not. At that age, it is tough to get enough time with the kids during practice, so he may be stuck with me working with him all summer instead.

We haven't been able to get up to ski nearly as much lastly either. After football ended, it was right into the holidays. We got up for 5 days during the New's Years week. The only cards I ended up playing that week, though, was A$$hole, which I hadn't played in years! It was a fun New Year's Eve.

Last week, I we were at Disney. I am back to work today for the first time in 10 days and need a vacation from the vacation. Damn, walking about 18 miles a day down there and the weather wasn't even that great. Ok, hard to complain about low 60's since it was hovering around zero all week in Boston, but still, I was hoping for more.

We are in the midst of basketball season, which is only 1 night a week and I coach my 7 year old in that too. Baseball season is right around the corner, and then right into football. My poker tourney fundraiser will be in April, so I will be cracking on sponsors for that one soon. Hope everyone is well out there and enjoying whatever they are into these days. Stay happy!
